book 14

Dairy of Anne Frank is a really impressive to me. I read it for the first time when I was 13 years old and I tried to read it in English this time.
People all over the world are able to see what life as a persecuted Jew was like during World War II; thus gaining an appreciation for the sacrifices people made in the struggle to stay alive. Anne Frank did not become famous until after her death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and after the liberation of all concentration camps. Otto Frank, the only surviving member of the people hiding in the Secret Annex, later had Anne's dairy published.

We do have to hope world peace. I would like everyone to read this.

book 13

The title is "In Cold Blood".

This is so disturbing book, but interesting one, I think.
The author, Truman Capote wrote “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
Murders of Herbert Clutter, a wealthy farmer from Holcomb, Kansas; his wife, Bonnie; his 16-year-old daughter, Nancy; and his 15-year-old son, Kenyon, and the aftermath. Capote said that he had created a new type of book, the non-fiction novel, by applying traditional literary conventions to crime reporting.

Moby-Dick is a novel by Herman Melville in 1851. The novel describes the voyage of the whaling ship Pequod, led by Captain Ahab, who leads his crew on a hunt for the whale Moby-Dick. The language is highly symbolic and many themes run throughout the work. The narrator's reflections, along with complex descriptions of the grueling work of whaling and personalities of his shipmates, are woven into a profound meditation on society, nature, and the human struggle for meaning, happiness, and salvation. Moby-Dick is often considered the epitome of American Romanticism.
I watched this film at my literature class. It was great.

It was difficult for me to do the collavorative essay because I had to work with my friend though we did not have enough time to share, acutually. But we did our best. I also learnt it is very important to have pharagraphs to write a essay or paper things like that.

Many book reviews of every week were also a bit hard for me,too because I have much homework every day, so I did not have time to read books very much. Yet, every teacher says "to read book is really important", so I dicided to do that, for myself.

book 11

The title is "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
This is very famous name of bland.
It's a very romantic love story about two people who find happiness in the crazy, mixed-up world we live in.
George Peppard plays Paul Varjak, a writer who has to earn his living through a wealthy socialite, Patricia Neal, as her "kept" man. Audrey, who plays Holly Golightly, is a gold-digging call girl, who is looking for the right rich man to marry. Though you would think these two would be unflattering characters, they are both very charming and put on phony personas (especially in Holly's case) in order to survive.
I want to wacth film, too!

bad news

today in the morning, I wacthed TV and I knew that Korea had a too much snow these days and many people were injured and killed. On the other hand, Japan is expected that it will be warm winter...The quruel weather is bothering the world!
we have to do what we can do. It is pretty fine even small things.

book 10

This book is about Walt Disney.

Walter Elias Disney (December 5,1901 - December 15, 1966), was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, vivionary, and philanthropistHe was the son of Floa and Elias Disney, and had three brothers and one sister. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney)of Walt Disney Productions, Walt became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $30 billion.
Actually, he did many failures again and again but he never gave up.

I love Disney because they give us dreams, fantasies, hopes and inspirations.

book 9

The title is " the king of Narnia".

Aslan the "Great Lion" is the main character in The Chronicles of Narnia a series of seven fantasy novels for children written by C. S. Lewis. He appears in all seven books of the series. The word aslan is Turkish for "lion" and is used as a title for Ottoman/Seljukid and Persian Empire(Turkic) rulers. The figure of Aslan may have been suggested by a mysterious lion which suddenly appears and disappears at key moments in the novel The Place of the Lion.

I also have watched film, and I was really moved!

Ryugaku: Furo vs. Shower

I would like to think about furo vs. shower. I think furo is absolutely better than shower.
First, it is really good for our body. The blood circulation is improved, the body becomes warm(especially it is very important in winter.). we sweat a lot and take out a waste material from a body.
Next, we can relax by taking the bath. At the bath time, we can spend longer time a bit more over reading magazines, singing songs or just thinking about something, things like that.
At last, there are many kind of bath( we call them onsen) in Japan, so we can enjoy them!
That’s why it is definitely better furo than shower. I will take the bath everyday except when I don’t have enough time to do that.
